Dakota
Dakota is a British Columbian Black and came to us from a breeder at 4 weeks old. He was bottle fed every two hours. Dakota came to the sanctuary with his brother Segoni and Apache Moon greeted them happily. Apache Moon raised them and taught them the way of the wolf. Dakota is about 190 lbs in the winter and he tries to keep the peace between Durango and Segoni. He loves to have fun stealing things from visitors, such as medicine bags, wallets, check books, earrings, necklaces, hats, and scarves. When he is successful, we must argue with him to get these items back. The only way is to do a trade, give him something to get something back. Dakota is always to first to greet visitors. He loves to give wolf head rubs. He also loves to kiss you with big wolf kisses. Dakota has a very beautiful deep howl. He is very special to the staff of WMS.
