Istas Pejuta (Medicine Eyes) is a MacKenzie Tundra Wolf. He was born April 17,2003 and arrived at WMS on October 3, 2003. He was 6 months old when he arrived and is now 8 years old and quite the leader in his pack. He is Alpha.

A private owner who could not care for a wild animal gave him to WMS. He got Istas from a breeder in California and didn’t know what he was getting into. Thank you for bringing us this precious wolf!

When Tonya first saw him, he kissed her immediately wanted to be in her arms. Tonya named him when she saw his eyes change colors, blue to green to yellow. That is how he got his name.

When we introduced him to Apache Moon he was so happy. I wish we had had a video camera to record the meeting of the two wolves. Niwah wanted to be a momma to him and growled at Apache so we had to separate them. Niwah would be with Istas in morning and Apache after 12:00pm. Now Niwah is with Blue and Istas is with Wacipi. Niwah was teaching Istas to pull the hair of visitors so we had to separate the two.

He is so beautiful (and he knows it ) and loves all visitors. He loves to play in the water when we cool off the compound. When visitors bring goodies he gets all excited. He loves peanut butter, watermelon, and all the goodies he can get.

Istas is very happy be the leader of his pack. Istas had decided that Wanagi is his mate. Wanagi recently had to be pulled from this compound as she was going after Wacipi, the other female daily. We will continuously try to bring her back into this compound.

Istas has had a few blockages in his stomach which caused him to be very ill. Because of that he eats boneless, skinless chicken breast only.

Each bottle has a picture of your special wolf and is full of that wolf's hair and will have a leather tie. It is summer at WMS now and the wolves have shed almost all of their winter fur.

Tonya came up with the idea of sharing that with all of you.

Wolf Pendants area only available in the USA. We have had issues with them not getting thru customs.

Due to many lost bottles, we will be sending with a return receipt, so have your bottle delivered to a place where someone can sign for it.

This makes a great gift or a personal memento of your wolf.

Funds from the bottles will be put into special account set up for an evacuation bus. This is very important in case we ever need to evacuate WMS. Moving 14 wolves will not be an easy task, but we have to be ready. This bus has been one of our goals for the last few years.. Fire season is now considered full year here in California and we need to be ready.
